About the Hill Gallant Lab
The Hill Gallant Lab is dedicated to understanding mineral metabolism, bone health, and nutrient accessibility to shape dietary approaches that improve outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). We occupy a specialized research niche and utilize isotope tracers and controlled feeding studies to better understand mineral metabolism and metabolic balance. Our collaborations with researchers in agriculture and animal science support the development of foods that are both healthy and appealing, while reducing environmental nutrient waste. In addition to our foundational research, we offer expert services to the scientific community, including accurate mineral analysis of food and various biological samples.
